We love talking shop

Fielding repetitive email questions? Not so much. So, we encourage anyone interested in Porsche restomod service to give this page a look before jumping into the process.

Q:

How long does it take for PWR to finish a restomod?

A:

Approximately 18 months from start to finish for most cars. We do our best to let clients know upfront if their specific project will take longer because of variables like initial conditions, customization options, etc.

Q:

How much does a restomod cost?

A:

Every project is unique. A detailed estimate is provided once we’ve assessed your car’s specific needs and listened to your every want. Once we have crafted a plan and agreed on the scope of the project, a deposit of 25% will be invoiced to begin work on all restomods.

Q:

What custom options are available for my restomod?

A:

There are a lot: engine preference, wheels, suspension, smart radio/navigation, multiple classic color combos for interior/exterior, and the list goes on. We discuss all of the options available to you when creating an estimate, so get in touch to get started.

Q:

Can I watch the process or come to the shop?

A:

We understand and appreciate an owner’s desire to stay up to date with the restoration of a beloved, vintage Porsche. So, we check in regularly with photos and info about our progress. Owners are welcomed at the shop, but we ask that they schedule with us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Q:

Can I really drive it every day?

A:

Absolutely. People think we’re exaggerating, but Pat’s 1968 912-911 Conversion has been his main mode of transportation for more than 10 years now. Rain or shine, near or far, a PWR restomod drives like a demon but purrs like a kitten. (Who knew reliability could be so sexy?)

Q:

How’s my driving?

A:

Decent, we’re guessing, but could be better. Have we mentioned we have a racing team? Nearly ever driver who hasn’t been coached by a professional benefits from a little one-on-one session when taking the wheel of a finished restomod. Even if you’re never going to floor it, there are still a lot of practical techniques all Porsche owners can learn to get the most out of their driving experience.

That’s why we offer the PWR Pickup Experience.
